Continuing the celebrations in our home base, the Westboro Gurudwara Sahib at New England Sikh Study Circle also left no stone unturned to highlight the Gurpurab celebrations.

The whole Gurdwara Sahib was decorated with flowers, from the railings along the staircase to the Diwan hall where kirtan was being sung.  Additionally, many of the Khalsa school classes presented Sakhis and facts about Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Throughout the day, the kirtan classes sang Shabads by Guru Nanak Dev Ji as well. Our commemoration of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab also included a Parbhat Pheri which was done the weekend before. During the Parbhat Pheri, in the early morning the Sangat walked around the Gurdwara Sahib doing kirtan. Kids in the Sangat also played the various instruments while the Shabads were being sung.

All Sangat member – young and old – did partake in different forms of Seva. To make the little ones feels special on this special day, everyone received gifts from our Khalsa School teachers.
