Davinder Singh Garcha is passionate about Sikhi, Punjabi and Sikh history. He currently leads the Boli (Language) department at Guru Angad Institute of Silk Studies (GAISS), Virginia where he has been teaching Punjabi and Sikh history at the weekend school since 2005. Davinder holds a BS in Computer Science and an MBA in general management. He is an avid reader and keen traveler, which helped him explore and understand diverse cultures, ethnicities, world history and how Sikhi values and teachings can stand tall in the modern world.Davinder held many volunteer judge positions at high school debates, poetry competitions, and public speaking events. He believes in diverse views and dissidence in a well-functioning religions or political system. Through Vaad-Vivaad Debate show, he wants to engage Sikh youth in productive and progressive discourses.
