Working in collaboration with NESSC and New England Khalsa School, members of the Westborough Gurdwara Sahib sangat have come together to create a foundation for a new online TV channel run by the Khalsa School Students. Through the constant support of our sangat and community, we received generous donations allowing us to provide our students with state-of-the-art equipment. In addition, we have installed a sound-proof studio with a green screen wall in the Media Room at Westborough Gurdwara Sahib. Developing the idea for the TV show was supported by many, and we would not be where we are today without everyones unconditional support and seva.
Our vision is to be a beacon of enlightenment and transformation for Sikh youth, creating a world where their stories are heard, their talents are recognized, and their leadership is valued. We aspire to build a strong, supportive community that bridges gaps, fosters understanding, and celebrates diversity. By empowering our youth, we aim to strengthen the Sikh community and contribute to a more inclusive, innovative, and compassionate society. Through our visual pedagogy, we nurture essential technical and soft skills, preparing our students to become confident, articulate, and socially conscious leaders.
We are a dedicated community of educators, mentors, and industry professionals committed to nurturing the next generation of Sikh leaders, innovators, and change-makers. Our team believes in the power of every child’s story and perspective, providing the guidance and resources needed to bring these stories to life. At Nishkam TV, we are more than an educational program; we are a family that supports and encourages our students as they navigate the complexities of growing up in today’s world.
Nishkam TV offers a comprehensive educational program that integrates STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) concepts with the principles of filmmaking and storytelling. Our curriculum is divided into seven distinct streams, each focusing on a specific aspect of the filmmaking process, including production, content writing, talent development, web development, social media, marketing, and design. Through hands- on, project-based learning, students gain technical skills, creative abilities, and essential life skills that extend beyond the classroom.
