Azman Singh is an engineer by training and profession, but has had a lifelong passion for debate. Starting with participation at the Hemkunt Speech Symposium as a child, he went on to join his high school’s debate teams, where he participated in tournaments for the Policy and Lincoln-Douglas formats. This passion carried into college, where Azman competed in tournaments under the American Parliamentary Debate Association (APDA), and was a member of the University of Virginia’s Jefferson Literary and Debating Society. Additionally, Azman has various hobbies and intellectual interests, first and foremost a large passion in Sikh history and engaging with it through books, original texts, and academic works. Azman’s hope with Vaad-Vivaad is to bring his passions and experiences together to help create a new intelligentsia amongst the next generation of Sikh youth.
